The Philadelphia Association remains open even though our doors are physically closed for the foreseeable future due to Covid 19.
The work of the community houses continues as does the training, study programme and affordable therapy service.
At this time all therapy consultations are being conducted remotely online or by phone. Details of how to contact the referrals team can be found on our THERAPY page.
We are not currently able to welcome new residents to our houses but please do get in touch with us to discuss whether a stay in one of our communities might be possible for you when it is safe to open our doors again.
Psychotherapy is the attempt of two people to recover the wholeness of being human through the relationship between them.
R. D. LAING
Many of us experience distress and confusion. It takes different forms: conflict at work or at home, sexual and identity difficulties, compulsive behaviour, loneliness, feelings of anxiety and emptiness that seem to come from nowhere.
When things go wrong, talking with a therapist in a safe and confidential space can help. Continue reading for our referral service or click here for a listing of Philadelphia Association therapists.
We offer short-term and open-ended individual therapy as well as group, couple and family therapy. Our therapists work in London and around the UK.
To discuss therapy please fill in the confidential form below (this is the preferred mode of contact) or call the PA office between 1pm and 4pm on 0207 794 8058.
We will respond to you promptly to arrange an initial meeting, usually at the PA office in Hampstead. At the meeting you can talk about what concerns you, and ask any questions you may have. If we feel we are able to help, and you wish to proceed, we will find a therapist appropriate for you.
The cost of therapy depends on individual circumstances and we will take into account your social and economic situation The initial meeting with a coordinator costs £40 (full fee) or £20 (reduced fee) It last fifty minutes
